I love what I do and when I meet a great vendor or great idea that has to do with parties, and particularly, weddings I get super excited. Combine that with learning of a cool product and vendor that has moved and settled right into Jim Thorpe, well you can imagine!
The wedding business is mostly, by nature, an area that is ruled by small and often creative entrepreneurs. With exception of outfits like David’s Bridal and Men’s Warehouse that are large chains, most of the people you book for your wedding consider themselves artists and are often one-man (or woman) operations. In a day of mass production, that’s a pretty awesome thing. Weddings and parties are places where people like to let their personality shine and that is only often done through finding unique, rather than mass produced, items for your event.
With that in mind, I’m excited to introduce you to a pretty awesome business that offers unique and hand crafted products to make your wedding or just any event all the more memorable.
Without any further ado, let me introduce you to Somersault Letter Press!
I had the privledge of meeting Amy, co-owner of Somersault Letter Press , for lunch one day with Michelle Gallagher at our not-frequent enough luncheon get togethers at our favorite spot Tony Stella’s Encore. I so enjoyed meeting with her and I look forward to sending people I meet her way because not only is she pretty cool peeps, Somersault Letter Press, is pretty badass. Badass because, in a day of mass produced everything and glossy quick print jobs, Somersault has gone retro and has put the artistry BACK into printing! To me, that is just plain awesome. And, they don’t just offer invitations or business cards, but other pretty cool and unique items that would make great gifts for your guests and wedding party, or add some unique touches to your decor. Check out their vimeo video here about their printing press:
Of course, they don’t offer just wedding items. I mean, their items can apply to just about any occassion. And they do so with some pretty funny , clever and creative ideas.
I saw these and they instantly became my favorite! They’re called OMG cards and they made me LOL!
They are pretty new to the neighborhood here in Jim Thorpe but not to their business, having relocated from Vegas to our quaint town. , Soon they will have a storefront open in which you can shop for things they’ve already made, or meet with Amy (the artist) and Mitch (the man behind the machine) to get your own programs, invitations, business cards – just about anything you’d need printed, made. I have to say, it seems like kismit ; retro old-world printing press finds old-world style town to call home!
