Kelly & Frank had their ceremony at the Anita Shapolsky Gallery across the street from the Mauch Chunk Ballroom. Of course, I was on hand to help the with their rehearsal the day before, and the ceremony the day of. Kelly and some of her family were staying next door in the Vicotiran Mansion that is available for rent and sleeps 12. It’s a beautiful spot that offers some great photo opportunities and a comfortable location for the bride and her bridal party to get ready.
My good friend and local officiant, Michelle Gallagher, presided over the ceremony. They choose a Celtic hand binding ceremony (one of my favorites!).
It was slightly chilly, but Kelly was prepared with a beautiful green (to match her wedding colors) jacket that complimented her dress well and the couple set out to take a few pictures around town while their guests enjoyed some cocktails at the Ballroom.
Their wedding was complete with many personal touches, including photos of both Kelly & Frank through the years individually, and with their families. Green wine bottles were used to hold long candles and the tables were set with a mixture of brass candle holders and tea lights. I just loved all the little touches that tied in so well together.
For their first dance, the couple surprised everyone with a beautiful choreographed Ballroom routine, complete with an awesome lift at the end. I’ve seen lots of first dances, but this one brought a tear to my eye. They did a beautiful job and obviously worked very hard at their routine.
Kelly & Frank added the Mixed Bag Candy Buffet to their wedding with green and gold candies to match their wedding theme.
