Your Destination Wedding Location Close to Home
Jim Thorpe is the perfect town to get married in. As a tourist town, Jim Thorpe has a lot of activities to offer your guests, as well as accomodations, fine restaurants and shops. It makes your wedding a little mini weekend vacation get away that is both convenient and fun. The Mauch Chunk Ballroom sits right in the middle of it all.
The town’s beautiful architecture offers an old world and romantic charm unmatched anywhere. And, there are many amazing photo opportunities. The best part of it all, is that all of this is just steps away from The Mauch Chunk Ballroom making it extremely convenient for both the couple and their guests. They can come in, park and walk on foot to your ceremony (if you choose a location within town), reception, and any and all activities they plan on participating in that weekend. With some amazing restaurants in town, you can have your rehearsal dinner right in town too!

Here are just a few ideas on where to get hitched, where to stay and where to take those beautiful photos:
Irwin’s Castle. This is one of my FAVORITE locations for pics. Hidden on Hill Rd., many don’t know it’s there. But, I’m always sure to tell my couples and their photographer because, well the photos are just gorgeous.
This pic is a twilight shot, but the day shots are just as gorgeous.
Take a ride with Kyle from Crystal View Carriage.
Carriage rides are available for couples around town for photos, up to your wedding ceremony or reception or just a quick ride up Broadway. He’ll even pose for photos with couples. Arrangements can be made ahead of time through our planner, weather permitting. He’s also available to contract to be in town rain or shine.
