Juliette & Harold: Pink, Champagne & Burlap July*12*2014

Juliette & Harold chose a very elegant combination of pink, champagne and burlap that perfectly blended her feminity with a touch of his masculinity. It was an extremely elegant setting and I particularly loved the aisle runner they chose. It had beautiful lace trimmed edge with a B for their last name at the center and complimented the ivory chair covers and pink sashes beautifully.

Yes We Did! Some AMAZING New Inclusive Packages Added

Businesses should be an ever  growing and evolving thing, particularly when you are in a service business.  It’s important to pay  attention to cues from potential and past clients  that might clue you in on what you’re missing, what you can do better and how you can improve.  A little more than a year ago I made some pretty big and amazing changes to the Ballroom that brought our venue to a whole new level and in doing so I got to work with some pretty amazing clients and teamed with some of the areas best vendors, like Icing on the Cake and Cake Deigns by Angie for the cakes that come with every wedding package.  Over the last few weeks, I’ve been thinking hard about how I can make the experience at the Ballroom even better and bring us to the next level. Now, I’m excited to introduce some of our new, more inclusive and amazing packages we put together with some additional vendor partners  and new menus from our caterers. And, of course, introduce you to our new and improved website.

Christy & Alex: A Match Made at Virginia Tech

It goes without saying that Christy & Alex and their families are die hard Virginia Tech fans.  It’s no wonder, as Christy is a 3rd generation engineering graduate from the University (and she graduated with a 4.0 – WOW).  And, Christy followed in her parents tradition in more ways than one ; for Christy’s parents, just like Christy & Alex, met and fell in love while attending Virginia Tech.  During the course of the wedding I even learned that the duck pond where her parents shared their first kiss, is the same duck pond where Alex first professed his love for Christy.

Jennifer & Joseph 5*24*14 – Opera House Ceremony & Ballroom Reception

I’m a big promoter of the town of Jim Thorpe and I’m always making recommendations on the cool places in this town where you can get hitched.  So, when couples take me up on it, I get super excited!  When I met Jennifer & Joe, they were looking for someplace a little unique for their nuptials and so I recommended the beautiful Mauch Chunk Opera House just steps away from the Ballroom.  On faith and trust in me alone, they booked the venue for their ceremony without ever having stepped into the venue until the day of their rehearsal!

Erin & Mike: Their Destination Wedding in Jim Thorpe

I often call Jim Thorpe a destination wedding location close to home.  That is just what Jim Thorpe was to Erin & Mike, who , along with family and friends, came from New Jersey for a little romantic wedding get-a-way!  They even brought in Tami Melissa photography, from New Jersey, to take their photos.  This photographer has been to many weddings from this group and it’s no wonder why!  The pictures were stunning.

Samantha & James: High School Sweethearts

It is often rare for someone you met in high school to be the person you, years later, walk down the isle with.  But, Samantha and James, who met when Samantha was a freshman and James a Junior, did just that.  Their relationship has endured a time when many of us change and often grow apart from those we met in our teenage years.  Through college and lifes changes, these two did it together.   On May 10, 2015, they walked down the isle and became husband and wife, taking their next major  life changes once again together!
