This is the first blog I’ve done that is really targeting advice to wedding guests. And, I encourage all recently engaged couples to post this on their social media as a suttle way to get this to their potential invite list as a hint on what you expect with your RSVP’s.Read More
Pamela & Mike had a beautiful August day for their wedding.
Their ceremony took place at Our Lady of Queen & Peace Church in Broadsheadville, PA. Then, afterward, the guests headed to the beautiful Mauch Chunk Ballroom for the reception.
Pam & Mike took full advantage and had photos taken around town while their guests snacked on cocktail hors’d’ouerves and sipped on drinks from The Broadway Gill & Pub. Once they returned, the couple took a few minutes to unwind with their Bridal Party in our makeshift Bridal Suite on the museum level. Their bridal party had some fun gag gifts that they wanted to give the couple before they began the party.Read More
Juliette & Harold chose a very elegant combination of pink, champagne and burlap that perfectly blended her feminity with a touch of his masculinity. It was an extremely elegant setting and I particularly loved the aisle runner they chose. It had beautiful lace trimmed edge with a B for their last name at the center and complimented the ivory chair covers and pink sashes beautifully.Read More
Businesses should be an ever growing and evolving thing, particularly when you are in a service business. It’s important to pay attention to cues from potential and past clients that might clue you in on what you’re missing, what you can do better and how you can improve. A little more than a year ago I made some pretty big and amazing changes to the Ballroom that brought our venue to a whole new level and in doing so I got to work with some pretty amazing clients and teamed with some of the areas best vendors, like Icing on the Cake and Cake Deigns by Angie for the cakes that come with every wedding package. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been thinking hard about how I can make the experience at the Ballroom even better and bring us to the next level. Now, I’m excited to introduce some of our new, more inclusive and amazing packages we put together with some additional vendor partners and new menus from our caterers. And, of course, introduce you to our new and improved website.Read More
The Mauch Chunk Ballroom recently played host to the Fifth Annual Burlesque Festival’s Vending Bazaar. The Bazaar featured hand crafted and unique items, popular within the Burlesque culture.
I was impressed with the items I saw displayed. Any of these vendor’s items could easily be utlized by couples to enhance either their or their bridal parties attire. Over the next few weeks I will be featuring these vendors work with contact information in my Vendor Spotlight series.
This week, I’m featuring

Recently a post came through on my facebook feed from a fellow wedding professional in the area. It was a videopgrapher that was furiously at work editing one of his latest wedding videos. He was so aggrevated, he stopped and posted a screen shot of exactly what was irritating him. Can you guess what it is ? I’m sure the title gives it away, but here is the screen shot below:Read More
